Dishwashing Detergent Bleaches Clothes

The store didn’t have my favorite brand, so, I bought it because it says “Eco”… you know ecologically sound, right?

Well, it’s true it doesn’t have phosphates, but what it does have is Chlorine Bleach. When you snap the cap on the lid (or on the detergent cover in the dishwasher) it splatters. Then the splatters bleach your clothes.

It took me a little while to figure out what was happening, but thanks to Palmolive Eco I now have two ruined tops and my husband has a ruined pair of jeans and a work shirt.
Back to powdered detergents for me… Seventh Generation makes a great one.
